This device gives drivers both visible and audible warnings when parking or reversing of the proximity of other vehicles, walls, bollards, posts, shopping trolley’s etc – in fact anything you may reverse into.

The system has both a camera so that you can see what is behind you on the screen along with a distance figure embedded into the image and a radar system that covers the whole of the rear end removing any blind spots.

The radar works with 4 sensors fitted into the bumper. As you reverse towards an object a distance figure is displayed on the screen. Along with this the screen has a left and right display feature. If something is nearer on side than the other this is shown on the display.

To further improve this the audio system also acts to help you. As you near an object a slow beep is generated. As the object gets closer the beep speeds up until it is continuous. At this point you should stop.

The word stop is displayed on screen to indicate you are close enough to an object.

The radar will work night and day but the camera is also equipped with Infrared illuminators to give night vision as well.

This system will help prevent accidental reversing accidents when parking which can be very costly plus help the elderly who cannot turn around easily. Some vans with no rear windows and limited visibility find these kits very good in preventing reversing into posts, stumps etc.

• Small Compact Monitor
• Controller Box usually located at rear. This connects to the reversing lights
• Colour night / day IR bumper camera
• 4 x Radar Sensors
• Cables
• Tank cutters to make holes for camera and sensor in bumper

This is very straight forward to install and should be within the scope of most people. However do not take any risks and if in any doubt contact a qualified auto electrician – many of these are mobile and will come to you – who for a small fee will quickly do the job.
